Kite Killers are elasticated cords. One end ties on to the end of the brake leader line of your handles, the other end
attaches to a velcro wrist cuff, which (funnily enough!) goes around your wrist. If you let go of the handles during flight,
the brakes are automatically applied, reducing the kite to a pathetic ball of washing which promptly falls out the sky.
Infinitely preferable to watching your kite disappear off into the horizon!
However, remember to use kite killers with care - you are now permanently attached to your kite. If you're buggying, make
sure you don't get your kite tangled with another kite/buggy travelling in the opposite direction - you may get pulled out! ;-)
The Ozone kite killers have the added advantage of a release loop - if you do need to disconnect the kite entirely, simply pull the red loop and the kite killer is released entirely.
Your comments!
Is there any chance the release loop could fail and disconnect you from the kite when you don't want to? - Aaron - 20/10/04
No Aaron, they are just as secure as the other manufacturers, the quick release loop is simply a larger handle for removing the killers in the usual way. The killers are still the same design as the others, the release is just easier to find in a hurry :-) - Tom @ KiteDynamics - 26/10/04
Only one is pictured, but do they come as a pair? - Dave - 14/11/04

I found your site last week, called you up and got my first powerkite from your shop the day after that. I ended up with a radsails 3.0 which I'm totally happy with - unsurprising as your advice could not be better informed. Thank you again for the single greatest retail experience I ever had. If there is any justice you'll go a long way with your business! Hope to see you at White Horse sometime soon :-)
